Weekly on Wednesdays: High School - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Drop-In)Middle School - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (By appointment or invite)Academic Support Days are an opportunity for students to come to the Rishel Campus to work, connect and get support in an in-person setting. All staff will be in the building on these days to support students in making progress in their Schoology courses. When students come into the building for Academic Support Days, they will create their plan for the day that includes what they will be working on, which staff they will see and identify where they need the most support. High school students will be welcome in the building from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on a drop-in basis. Middle school students will be welcome in the building between 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. using an invitation or appointment-based system. Middle school students may not “drop in” for Academic Support Days.  School breakfast and  lunch will be available on these days. In-person academic support is OPTIONAL and students unable to attend in person should meet with teachers virtually.  When students are struggling with their academics, we will encourage them to make every effort to schedule some in-person support from our team.

October Count - COUNT DAYEvent

October Count is one of the most important times of the school year! During this period, Denver Online must track and report daily attendance to the Colorado Department of Education. These reports determine our school’s funding levels, which directly support our teachers, students, learning resources, and programs.The October Count window runs from Thursday, September 24 through Thursday, October 8, 2026. To be counted, all students must engage in school every day by:Submitting at least one assignment in each scheduled course each day.Attending any required Live Sessions.Communicating with teachers when questions come up.These expectations match what students should already be doing to stay on track with their courses. Consistent participation ensures that both students and Denver Online are fully supported this year.Please note: Our staff will be contacting students and families who are not showing daily engagement. This may include multiple calls, emails, or text messages each day to make sure students have the support they need.We appreciate your partnership during this critical time. Each week, Tuesdays (middle school) and Thursdays (high school) will be dedicated to Connection Days where students can expect to connect with peers and staff, and engage in joyful academic and enrichment activities. Students will have the opportunity to attend one Connection Day in person with their grade level (high school/middle school) each week. On these days, there will be no whole-class virtual live learning (for the corresponding grade level) as our focus will be on students who are coming to the building. Virtual support sessions may still occur, based on teacher schedule and availability. The focus areas for Connection Days will be on school culture-building, social-emotional learning, connection, in-person learning experiences and college/career readiness activities. Connection Days will occur between 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. School breakfast and lunch will be available.  Students with dietary restrictions should review DPS special diets policy and complete a Request for Meal Modification if required (linked from DPS page).  Participation in Connection Day and school events are OPTIONAL, but highly recommended.Students should check Schoology for specific information.

Collaborative School Committee Meeeting
The Collaborative School Committee will meet on a monthly basis throughout the school year and will be made up of school leadership, one DCTA member (teacher or SSP), parent representatives (volunteer or elected, depending on interest) and community members. PurposeEnhance student achievement and school climate in support of school and District’s goals through collaborationProvide strategic direction in support of Unified Improvement Plan (UIP)Be in compliance with state, federal law regulations of the Colorado Department of Education, applicable U.S. District Court orders, the District Affirmative Action plan, the DPS/DCTA Agreement, other contracts and District mandates.PrioritiesWork collaboratively with the school community (principal, teachers, staff, students, parents, civic and business leaders, service and neighborhood representatives, and other community members.Focus on the Unified Improvement Plan as primary responsibilities.Utilize Multiple Measures and align resources to support the UIPProvide guidance, evaluation and approval for the UIP, annual school budget and staffing allocations provided by the District  to insure its alignment with the UIP.Act as the School Improvement and Accountability Council (SIAC) for the building.Establish relationships with parents, community members, civic, service and neighborhood organizations to increase involvement in the school and provide a forum for community input.Participate in the principal-selection processParticipate in the principal's annual evaluation , as it relates to CSCReview, and when appropriate, approve discipline and safety procedures and revise the school calendar and/or schedule;Make recommendations regarding any changes to the school design Committee will NOT:Get involved in day-today operation of the schoolBe involved in issues relating to individuals (staff, students, parents)Be involved in personnel issuesMeetings of the collaborative school committees will be open to the public. Students will have the opportunity to attend one Connection Day in person with their grade level (high school/middle school) each week. On these days, there will be no whole-class virtual live learning (for the corresponding grade level) as our focus will be on students who are coming to the building. Virtual support sessions may still occur, based on teacher schedule and availability. Academic Support Day
Weekly on Wednesdays: High School - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Drop-In)Middle School - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (By appointment or invite)Academic Support Days are an opportunity for students to come to the Rishel Campus to work, connect and get support in an in-person setting. All staff will be in the building on these days to support students in making progress in their Schoology courses. When students come into the building for Academic Support Days, they will create their plan for the day that includes what they will be working on, which staff they will see and identify where they need the most support. High school students will be welcome in the building from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on a drop-in basis. Middle school students will be welcome in the building between 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. using an invitation or appointment-based system. Middle school students may not “drop in” for Academic Support Days.  School breakfast and  lunch will be available on these days. In-person academic support is OPTIONAL and students unable to attend in person should meet with teachers virtually.  When students are struggling with their academics, we will encourage them to make every effort to schedule some in-person support from our team.
