The Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company (RW) — one of the country's leading contemporary dance companies — is coming to IFAA to choreograph a brand-new dance on our high school and middle school dance majors! During the week, RW artists will also teach after-school classes at several West Ada arts schools; the Idaho Dance Education Organization Conference and State High School Dance Festival keynote speaker is Leslie Kraus, RW Artistic Director. This event is held at IFAA for ages 14 and up. RW is giving us a professional dance concert at CPAC — so keep an eye out for those opportunities too. These opportunities have come to us thanks to grants from the Idaho Commission on the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Idaho Department of Education, the Idaho Dance Education Organization, WASD's arts schools (PSA, CDSA, CJSA, IFAA), and the Idaho Arts Charter. We will also be holding a fundraiser soon to help raise funds for this residency. Here's what your big weekend looks like: Please note: All IFAA dance majors are performing Friday night at IFAA.
